Surrogacy in Argentina is open to everyone, providing an affordable option for same-sex couples, heterosexual couples, single men, and single women seeking to build their families.
Surrogacy in Colombia is accessible to same-sex couples and single men, offering a more affordable option for those seeking to start or expand their families.
All our surrogates are local Colombian women residing in Bogotá. Before acceptance into the program, they undergo a thorough screening process, requiring a history of at least one healthy baby derived from a successful pregnancy. Throughout the pregnancy, surrogates continue to live with their families, maintaining their usual lifestyles. Regular visits to our clinic follow standard Western pregnancy protocols, encompassing customary pregnancy tests and periodic blood tests to ensure overall health is on track for a successful birth. Surrogates are generously compensated for their service, providing them with the means to secure a promising future for their children and families. This process not only supports intended parents but also empowers surrogates, fostering a mutually beneficial and caring environment.
Our egg donors are exclusively local Colombian women, with many qualifying as premium egg donors upon entering our program. The egg extraction procedure is conducted at our clinic in Bogotá. Every egg donor associated with the Tammuz Family undergoes rigorous psychological and medical screening to ensure their suitability. Intended parents are provided with comprehensive information, including the donor’s genetic profile, medical history, family medical history, education, employment background, interests/hobbies, and a selection of current pictures. This commitment to transparency allows intended parents to make informed decisions and fosters a supportive and trusting environment within the surrogacy journey.
All IVF procedures, including embryo transfers, are conducted at Celagem Clinic in Bogotá. Situated in one of the city’s premier areas within a brand-new, state-of-the-art medical building that also houses a 4-star hotel, the clinic offers exceptional convenience for international intended parents. Celagem Clinic stands as an advanced center for reproductive medicine, boasting a collaborative team comprising the medical director, lab personnel, geneticists, nursing staff, psychologist, and coordinators—all working synergistically to provide the best possible service for our intended parents. The bilingual nature of our team ensures that questions can be addressed in both Spanish and English, offering seamless communication. Pregnancy monitoring is also seamlessly integrated into Celagem Clinic’s comprehensive services, with Dr. Nilfran Nottola overseeing embryo transfers.
The pregnancy protocol at Celagem Clinic is thorough, following Western standards. It includes monthly ultrasounds, nuchal translucency tests, GTT, anomaly examinations, and more. This comprehensive approach reflects Celagem Clinic’s commitment to maintaining high medical standards for intended parents in Bogotá.
We are delighted to collaborate with Attorney Fernandez Garcia, who will provide valuable assistance and guidance to our intended parents throughout their surrogacy journeys in navigating the legal processes in Colombia. His services encompass drafting the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate, as well as promptly registering the baby after birth. The birth certificate will include the name of the biological father alongside the surrogate’s name. Subsequently, the surrogate will sign a legal document relinquishing all maternal rights, initiating the automatic removal of her name from the birth certificate. This streamlined procedure is anticipated to take approximately four weeks from the birth of the child.
While our case managers typically guide you through the exit process, we strongly encourage all intended parents to exercise due diligence. Seeking advice from a local immigration lawyer is recommended to ensure full compliance with all local laws regarding babies born via an international surrogate agreement. This proactive step ensures a thorough understanding and adherence to legal requirements, contributing to a smooth transition after the birth of the child.
Tammuz Family is also proud to lead the surrogacy revolution among couples and individuals who are HIV+. This represents a welcome change in stereotypes and allows these families to become an inseparable and integral part of the broader community. Advanced fertility technology enables couples and individuals who are living with HIV to undergo IVF and conceive perfectly healthy children. Intended Parents fly to Bogotá and undergo specific tests at our clinic before the ‘sperm washing’ procedure commences. After the testing phase is completed, the sperm-washing phase is carried out. Sperm washing is internationally recognized as a safe procedure. In May 2017, after reviewing reports on 11,500 assisted conception cycles that used the sperm washing technique, during which no woman or offspring contracted HIV, the US Government’s Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) determined the process was safe to endorse.
Costs are inclusive and cover all medical and legal procedures, as well as the surrogate’s and baby’s health insurance (hospitalization, neonatal ICU, and medical complications).
